Session 99 - Cause You Gotta Have Faith

  Wed 17th December 2025 In-game timeline: Ches 8 - Ches 9 With most of the Realm notified to our "Heroes" presence at the site of the blood ritual, and with night drawing closer, they press on. Any last vestiges of hope that they may arrive unexpected are dashed when they are spotted by another patrol - Sanada takes care of the patrol guards, but not before another alarm is triggered by one of them. Having well and truly lost the element of surprise, they press on quickly towards the centre of the wood, from which they hear shouts and terrified screaming. They soon come upon the site of the ritual, which has started already, perhaps begun when their presence was first noted. On an island in the centre of a small lake in a clearing, a stone altar is being used by a spellcaster. Glowing runes on the altar seem to connect via lines of power to some standing stones surrounding the altar. Session 98 - Well, That Could Have Gone Better!

Wed 4th December 2025 In-game timeline: Ches 8 - Ches 8 Our "Heroes" pause at the borders of the village of Secomber. Their insight into what has recently happened at Easting warns them not to be too hasty on their approach. Solveig turns into an eagle and soars above the village to see what he can see from high up. The village looks populated, but very quiet - unusually so for a farming village. There is no obvious sign of armed people around the village. Solveig moves further afield to scan further south east. He spots a wood in the distance, and flies over to check it out. Concerned about his animal form running out of time before he can get back, he quickly just spots some possible guards or bandits around the edge of the wood, and catching sight of an open area in the middle of the wood, with a ring of stones on a small island in a lake. He quickly flies back to tell the others. The party head into the village and meet the mayor who, after being convinced they are on the...

Session 97 - All The World's A Stage

Wed 19th November 2025 In-game timeline: Alturiak 14 - Ches 8 Our "Heroes" hope that they have completed all The Harlequin's challenges. But it seems there is a final test to follow. They are led onto the stage that they saw at the start. But the theatre is empty - almost. The only member of the audience is The Harlequin, who sits and beckons them to the centre of the stage. The adventurers spot, slowly emerging from a strange mist around the edges of the stage, two musical scores - one on each side. As they watch, and listen to The Harlequin describe their final challenge, one score rises up to the top of a set of floating, crystal steps as the dimensions of the stage itself seems to extend in all directions, showing the score only reachable by jumping onto each of the precarious, somewhat erratically moving, steps. Beneath, a deep chasm opens up, inviting any who fail one of the jumps to fall to an uncertain, but obviously unhappy, fate. On the other side, beneath and b...
